PHOTOGRAPHY INTERSHIP
RULES & REGULATIONS
Training
Training for JMusic Photography’s internship will be for 3 months. Intern must complete 2 one-on-one trainings per month & 2 in the field trainings per month for 3 months. This is equivalent to 4 meet ups per month.
The intern will then receive a certificate of completion if intern has completed all meetings and if intern has mastered all requirements. If the intern needs longer time to grasp certain concepts & skills then more time can be added.
After completion of the internship the intern will then be eligible for pay in areas that he/she is comfortable in. Intern will start at beginner roles and then will be able to progress to more advanced roles with time when more skills are mastered.
Intern must commit to J Music Photography for at least one year after internship is completed. This means that he/she must be available to shoot at least 2 times a month if needed. This commitment will be reevaluated on a yearly basis for continuation.
One-On-One Training Layout
1. Understanding Light/Camera/Aperture
2. Shutter speed/Iso/Putting the triangle together/Different Shooting modes
3. Focal lengths
4. Navigation through camera settings
5. Composition
6. On camera flash/off camera/flash/speedlight
Attire
Outdoor Informal Shoot-Black bottoms (shorts or pants) with a JMusic T-Shirt/JMusic Polo shirt/Photography shirt or black shirt. A JMusic t-shirt can be purchased for $15. The polo shirt is gifted to you free of charge.

Tight clothes or “short” shorts are not acceptable. All shirts must cover the torso and should not reveal any skin on the stomach.

Indoor Formal Shoot-Slacks w/ JMusic Polo Shirt. Black comfortable shoes.

Please note that all attire is subject to change and your instructor will always notify you of the attire requirements for all formal shoots.

All interns must be well groomed for all events. Wrinkles in clothes are not acceptable. Please present yourself neatly.
Attendance

All interns must complete required hours to finish internship in a timely manner.

All interns must be on time to all events. If intern is late more than 2x without proper justification (emergency, something VERY serious) then intern will no longer be ale to be apart of the internship program.

If intern is a no call/no show then this automatically results in termination from internship program.
Equipment

Interns will use all gear provided by JMusic Photography. The intern must not use his/her gear at the shoots.

If an item is broken the intern must immediately report this to Shon Brown. An email must also be sent explaining in detail how the item was broken. If an intern is careless repeatedly a meeting will be held with Shon Brown to discuss the next steps.

All interns must treat equipment like its your own. Please report missing items immediately to Shon Brown.

All shooters must each inspect location before leaving to guarantee that nothing is left.

Theft will automatically result in a thorough investigation.
Payment
Once intern is eligible for payment the intern will provide bank account info.
Payment will be deposited within 5 business days from shoot date.
The amount of payment depends on the role that the person will be fulfilling.
